Sand Storm stayed at the top of the music charts in Finland for two weeks straight and also topped the charts in Norway. The song was released as a single and since it was put on the market, it has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It sold well in other countries as well, reaching platinum in Scandinavia and in Ireland. The single also achieved success in the United Kingdom and Australia, where it sold gold.
